Loss

Our little infant boy for whom you've been praying died last evening. Meningitis is the likely cause, but we won't know for sure. I had met with his father, Chimwemwe, earlier in the evening to inform him of the baby's condition. Chimwemwe looked to be holding up well, especially given that he was to bury his wife in the coming hours. Thank you for continuing to pray for this family. Their grief must be unfathomable.

The Lord reigns.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3

Hey John. So sorry to hear about the baby. Will be praying for the family and for you guys during your final few weeks.

I only have 4 weeks of my pregnancy left and have to say Tom and i are getting pretty excited (I'm sure Tom will put baby photo's on our blog - tomandjoinmalawi.blogspot.com). Thanks for all your expertise while we were in Malawi. You and your family have been a real blessing to Lilongwe. Hope you are excited about going home - God's timing is amazing and I'm sure you'll be astounded by the ways he blesses you as you prepare to leave and during your first few weeks back home.
